I have been hearing conflicting opinions on the importance of keyword rich domain names as far as search engine rankings are concerned.

People often seem to ask how important it is to include keywords that they want to rank for in their domain name. The answer is that it's not essential, but it helps a lot.

Having a KEYWORD-RICH domain name is an important factor of Search Engine Optimization. Choosing the right domain could help your search engine rankings.

However Keep in mind that this is one of more than a hundred factors that go into ranking on the major search engines.

Google looks at keywords and their relevancy so having keywords in the url isn't a bad idea. It really won't make much of a BIG difference in SEO but if the url is an accurate representation of the website then I believe there will be increase in targeted traffic.

So Yes, If you can, use your keywords in the domain name. If your purpose is branding, then you must use the company name.

In summary, having a keyword in your domain can be very helpful to establish a good presence in search engines. That's not to say that it's the only thing you should think about when choosing a domain.

For me, a branded domain is the best long-term business model. There are other "seize the moment" approaches that can make good money too, but that's just not what I do.

I prefer a long-term sustainable domain that builds repeat business and good "word of mouth".

To Your Success!
